St. Nicholas prides itself on the commitment and quality of its staff and governors, the support of parents and how this translates to our achievements being recognised through a variety of awards, on occasion.
We are proud to announce that in November 2016 the school received the Equality and Diversity School Champion status and Enhanced Healthy School Status, after a year of learning, activities and events to promote respect for, and enjoyment of, different cultures, beliefs and lifestyles.
Investors in People is the standard for people management. Our standard defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people for sustained success. Only 5% of schools obtain the ‘Silver Award’. St Nicholas School met the required criteria for Silver Award in December 2016.
The school met the School Games criteria for the Bronze Award which included inter/intra school sports, annual summer games and links with an outside club (Southend United Football). We are currently awaiting to be re-awarded for 2015/2016.
St. Nicholas has been given the top rating of ‘5’ which means we have ‘very good’ hygiene standards. A food safety officer from the local authority based their decision on the following inspection criteria.
