Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is allocated to the school for deprived children who are eligible, or have been eligible in the last 6 years, for Free School Meals (FSM); looked after children for more than 6 months (LAC); and children from families working in the Armed Forces.
At St Nicholas School we use this money in a variety of ways. In some cases the impact of the spending is difficult to measure, but there are both short and long term benefits to the lives of those receiving support.
Aims:
Pupil Premium funding will be used to provide targeted educational support to raise standards and improve outcomes of our more disadvantaged pupils.
Funding will be used to narrow the gap in attainment between pupil premium pupils and non-pupil premium pupils.
The school will use additional funding to ensure that our PPG pupils benefit and that it makes an impact on their learning, self-esteem and future lives.
Impact and Progress 2024 – 2025
The school received £72,645 for the financial year 2023-24 for 52 pupils eligible for PPG+ 6 Post Looked After students
